The Charles Dickens is a lovely Worthing pub which draws you inside and then it has that wonderful appeal of great service, wonderful pub food, well kept real ales that keeps you there for a lot longer than you had anticipated!
This Worthing landmark was sympathetically refurbished just a year ago and now has a private function room, a range of real ales, excellent wine and spirit selection, beer garden and a fabulous food offer which is available all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. From Tues -Thursday we serve lunch and dinner and on Monday we have lunch service only.
Our Sunday Lunch deserves a mention all of its own. There you go - duly mentioned!
Our reputation for real ale continues to grow, with a selection of five or more, cask-conditioned ales often available. We try and change them every weeks and will listen to requests - well the polite ones.
The function room is the ideal party venue; it has its very own bar and can accommodate up to 80 people. We are used for weddings, birthdays, christenings and even wakes(!) - A classic case of hatches, matches and dispatches!
